September 16- September 22

MUNDO (WORLD)-Please pray for Bible clubs and Sunday school all over the world that threy would glorify God and not the faithful and unfaithful servants he chooses to use.

MINISTRY- Please pray for my preparation and the training of Sunday school teachers at our new church plant in Salamanca: Basilia, Eliseo, Maritza, Carlos, Amanda, Laura, Becca and I. Pray for an excitement and love for the kids and sharing God´s word.

ME- Please pray that I would grow in my child-like faith as I study the Old Testament for teaching and about Jesus in Matthew´s gospel for my own personal study. Luke 18:16,17 But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

September 23- September 29

MUNDO (WORLD)- Since the earthquake here in Peru, I know there have been other natural disasters in other parts of the world hurricanes in the Caribbean, flooding in Africa and forest fires in Greece. Please pray for relief efforts in these parts of the world. It takes an enormous amount of logistical effort getting help to the areas of need.   Pray for governments to distribute the help honestly. Psalm 46: 8-10 Come and see the works of the LORD, the desolations he has brought on the earth. 9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear, he burns the shields with fire. 10 "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

MINISTRY- My roommate Laura and I are scheduled to go with a group from the States on a earthquake relief trip. Pray that the ministry we´re able to do would stregthen the churches there and bring many more to know Christ personally.

ME- I´m also teaching the second training on Saturday, please pray for peace of mind and God to give me strength and focus to prepare to the best of my ability. I need supernatural knowledge as well because we will be discussing discipline; one of my weaknesses in teaching!

September 30- October 6

MUNDO (WORLD)- Living in another culture helps me see how Satan confuses so many through spiritualism. Pray that His power would be bound more and more through the preaching of God´s true salvation story.

MINISTRY- My roommate Becca Bennett´s father is coming to give a spiritual warfare conference this week. Please pray that the Lord would do a mighty work in all those that attend.

ME- Please pray that I would continually put on the full armor of God to battle against the devil´s schemes. Ephesians 6:11- 16 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

October 7- October 13

MUNDO (WORLD)- Sunday school up until now has been learning about and praying for different countries where God is at work to give a mindset of world- Christians to these young followers. It has been a huge blessing for all of us. We studied many countries that are war-torn and the circumstances the children live in after the devastation. Please pray that God would change their downcast outlook on life and give them hope through His son Jesus.

MINISTRY- I have been gearing up for the first week of official Sunday morning sunday school since the beginning of July when the Jonkman´s came to train us. Please pray that many children we have built relationships with would come and bring their parents. Most are not used to waking up so early- pray for lifestyle changes! Eph 3:20,21 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen

ME- I want to be praying more for countries in the 10-40 window and what my future may hold in relation to those less- reached peoples.

October 14-October 20

MUNDO (WORLD)- Pray for women and girls in places where they are not valued as they should be through Christs redemption; those in addictive relationships: to drugs, to power wielders, etc.

MINISTRY-I am discipling two girls: Janet and Selene each week. Janet is a freshman in college studying sewing. Her family has big economic needs and she is the spiritual leader in her family. Selene is a 16 year old who is a new christian battling the lure of the world. Please pray our times together would be fruitful and Gods presence would be evident. Pray Matthew 21:22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer with and for us. Also pray for the street girls Amanda Ross, my teammate, and I each week as we are visiting street girls in a state-run home in our neighborhood.

ME- I have a feeling 27 is going to be a little harder to deal with than other birthdays thus far. Pray that God would be continually revealing His will to me.
