January / February Prayer Requests
January 21, 2007
PLEASE PRAY for:
Jan 14-21
Ministry: Vacation Bible School in Amauta, I am helping teach (Thursday
and Friday)
Mundo/World: Not only are kids reached but also their parents would
have interest in finding out who this Jesus is.
Me: This is a busy week as the VBS is added to most of my normal
activities. Pray for strength through Christ, not my own strength. 2
Cor. 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my
power is made perfect in weakness” Therefore I will boast all the more
gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
Jan 22 -28
Ministry: Young People Conference in Huanta, Pray that young men,
especially, would be raised up to lead the next generation.
Mundo (world): Pray that Christians would be investing in the next
generation of leaders to go out and reach more people for Christ.
ME: Stewardship of my time and energy, please pray the Holy Spirit
would guide me in my times of work and of rest. Matt.11: 29-30 Take my
yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart
and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my
burden is light.
Jan 29- Feb 3
Ministry: VBS in Santa Anita, The pastoral interns, Robinson and
Mauro, have been teaching for a month straight- pray that they'll have
energy and the Holy Spirit would motivate them to give their all.
Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper
time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Mundo (world): More missionaries to be raised up and going to places
and people groups who are mostly unreached (inside and outside of their
comfort zones)
ME: Joy in the work I’m doing, a passion for these kids to gain a
vision to see the world come to know Christ as their Savior and Lord.
Feb 4-10
Ministry: Salamanca's Sunday worship will start soon: pray for
organization, a location and God's glory to be made know in this
neighborhood
Mundo (world): those who are lonely and don’t have a sense of family or
community, “the unlovable,” who need Christ’s love in a severe way.
John 7:37 If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.
ME: Please pray that I won’t become dry but I would continually be
filled by Jesus, by listening to Him.
Feb 11-17
Ministry: Our teammates join us in Lima, Jeremy and Amanda Ross and
their girls, Kayla and Bella, pray for transition and getting
accustomed to BIG CITY life!
Mundo (world): That brotherly love in difficult situations, forgiveness
and repentance would bring powerful change in unresolved conflict. In
people, you and I, but also between people groups in war-torn nations
such as Sudan and Israel.
ME: That I could serve my roommates and my teammates in a way that
pleases the Lord. 1 John 4: 20 If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates
his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother,
whom he has seen, cannot love God, who he has not seen.
I am so thankful for people who pray!
I continue to appreciate hearing how you are and what I can be praying for!
Love, Susan
