Rich & Ramona WagnerFebruary 23, 2009Update On Our Feb. 19th Prayer RequestThank you for praying for Bud Lenz and the 15 children left in the jungle. It didn't all work out as I had planned, but God was in control and that is so much better. Too many people thought that I was too tired to make a trip to the jungle that would take over 48 hours just in driving time, after spending eight days in a very remote area in the mountains with a medical brigade. They were probably right so at the last minute we hired a van and two drivers to make the trip in my place. They left at 3:30pm on Friday afternoon and have just now returned with the children. It's about 10:15am on Monday. The children are none the worse for wear. We were relieved to NOT see feathers, warpaint, etc. Apparently the "Lord of the Flies" wasn't ever on their reading list. They are now with the other children that were left behind here in Cusco at the Noah's Ark Orphanage that we help out with. Bud is still a great concern for us. It was confirmed here in Cusco on Friday that he had suffered some kind of cardiac event. He was stabilized on Saturday and flew to Lima Sunday morning. Today he is at the Anglo America Clinic in Lima trying to see if they can help him. If they can't, the next step would be flying to Houston Texas for treatment. Regardless, he is out of action for a while, leaving Laura his wife, alone with over 35 orphans. We will help take up the slack with the kids, please continue to pray for Bud. Lord Bless,
Rich Wagner
