Last US Email from Wagners

Dear Praying Friends,

This will be our last email before leaving for Peru on Friday morning.  Please pray that we will be able to get our earthly possessions down to two fifty pound suitcases each.  This has not an easy task.  Pray for Ramona and I, as we have to buy all we need for household and ministry in Lima, to ship to Cusco, before Wednesday of next week.

Pray that we will acclimate quickly to the 11,000-foot altitude.  We both suffered from Acute Altitude Sickness when we were there a few weeks ago.

I have received the project numbers for all of the approved projects that we will be working in.  The motorcycle project is a major one since it will allow me access to the remote villages we will be working in.  Here they are:

  • 94716 - Cusco Tool Project - $2500
  • 94717 - Cusco Motorcycle Project - $5000
  • 94721 - The Josephine house/Cusco mercy ministry (ongoing)
  • 94750  - Cusco Training Center (all national workers are paid out of this project, which is in the red right now)
  • 94777 Hinterland Health ministry (ongoing)
One of the Quechua pastors had a terrible accident in his truck at around 5am this past Sunday morning.  In addition to being injured himself, he has to cover the liability for 18 injured passengers and two that died.  He didn't have a license (normal for the Quechuas out in the villages); he didn't have insurance (also normal).  Families of the victims attacked his wife when she went to the hospital to try and cover their bills.  Please pray for Pastor Marcos to recover completely and for God to be glorified in this difficult situation.

We have started a new web page for photos of our work in Peru.  It is:

Right now there are just photos of Wagners, Powlisons, and before and after pictures of local cuisine to look at, but we will keep it up to date.

Thank you for your continued prayer and financial support.  We thank God for your participation in the ministry that He has given us.

Lord Bless,

Rich & Ramona
