Roger looks over the spread of books we are packing with a certain pleasure. "We were desperate for some of these two years ago." We are leaving for Chile on Wednesday, August 1st from the Charlotte airport at 7:15 PM. That calls for packing and cleaning and finishing up many things during these days. It also calls for dropping everything for a visit with family as often as we can. We will be home on the 28th and 29th so that we can say "good-bye" to as many as care to drive to Winnsboro, SC. After that we can be reached somewhere between my parents and Aunt Margaret's since they will be putting us up our last few nights in the US.

A friend and I had a Bible Study with Carola, (my friend from Uruguay who lives here in Winnsboro) this week. I wasn't sure before, but she is a believer. Whether or not she made that decision a while ago or recently was hard to tell, but she has decided to follow Christ wholeheartedly. It was a very good time of digging into the Word with her, although it is always a bit crazy with children running around. While we studied her two little ones were awfully quiet. We discovered that they had gotten into the rather large jar of chocolate milk mix. Mmmm. They enjoyed their mess immensely. We enjoyed the quiet, sort of.

Suzy was helping her daddy comb his hair. "Daddy you don't have any rats or monsters in your hair. I have whole towns of rats and monsters in mine."

Thank you for your prayers for us.
