Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Thank you for your prayers and support. Our ministry in training Latin American pastors by resourcing them with books, courses, and intensive seminars is very rewarding. There is such a multiplying effect in this. Yet not too many teachers like to grade papers - I don't, yet my attitude changes when I get E-mails from Cuba, from Puerto Rico, from Colombia, from Venezuela, from the USA, etc. with words of gratitude for the courses they are taking and the immediate ways they are putting the materials to use in their congregations. Flet is at the cutting edge of distance training and we are all over the Hispanic world. We are receiving 50 new students every month in the last half a year (more papers to grade!!!). We are working hard to keep up with the needs. New alliances and working agreements are being made with other educational institutions both here in the US as well as overseas, so we know that the amount of students that we will serve will increase dramatically over the next years. Praise the Lord.

Please pray for the following:
1. Praise God that Susana finished her final exams this week at Covenant College and pray for Joe as he is in his finals at Covenant Seminary. Susana will come home for summer vacation this Saturday the 8th. Please pray that she may find a summer job.
2. I am giving three talks to the Christian Reformed Church Spanish pastors here in Miami on the 19th and 20th of May. Pray as I prepare and that I may be an encouragement to their outreach here. (Robyn will join me in the evening to speak to them together with their wives).
3. Pray for a trip I will be taking with Les Thompson to Montevideo, Uruguay - June 2-7. We will be speaking to 100 pastors. I have quite a bit of preparation to do for the 5 topics on crisis management that I will give.
4. Please continue to pray for my trip to Venezuela, July 14 through 26. I will be teaching two 12 hour intensive courses, giving two seminars to pastors, and will also speak for 7 hours (not all at once) to 300 teachers at a national conference. I am a bit overwhelmed with the responsibility and the schedule. Pray that I will know the reality of relying on God's sufficiency and power.
5. Pray that the gospel will come through clearly in all my teaching.
