Dear brothers and sisters in Christ:
Thank you very much for your encouragement to Susana in supporting her on this trip. All the financial need has been met for her and she is very grateful and thankful for the Lord¥s provision. There are 12 girls on this trip, and they are all very excited. Here is an update from Susana:

Dear family and friends,
It has been a few weeks since I first wrote to you about the missions trip I am going on in March to Talavera de la Reina, Spain. I have received all the financial support needed since then, and prayer is evident in the many blessings received from God as a team and in my life personally. It has been encouraging to see the continual bond of the team and that we all have similar expectations and desires of our time in Spain.
We have received a letter with some information for preparation from the OM team leader in Talavera. In the letter we were informed that Talavera is a city with over 100,000 people, that there are four churches there, and that the OM church is involved in many social work programs, such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Battered Women counseling, and clothing distribution to the needy. Our team will be involved in literature distribution, outreaches, social work, church meetings, and learning about the work in Spain and different social problems that are affecting people in the area.
All the money needed for the trip has come in! I am grateful for the generous gifts I have received from you. Thank you very much. I am also thankful for your support in prayer. Some more specific prayer requests are:
(1) The trip is getting closer and we still have much preparation as a team. We are learning some Spanish worship songs to share with the people in Talavera and this is an especially difficult task for the women that do not speak or know any Spanish. We were asked to prepare testimonies of about three minutes and I will be the team's interpreter since I am the only fluent Spanish speaker on the team.
(2) The continued preparation of the people in Talavera. They are very distrustful in Spain because of the influence of the Roman Catholic Church's view of non-Catholics as sects or cults. This distrust is increased by the confusion created by groups such as the Jehovah's Witnesses whom they do not like at all.
(3) For my personal growth and preparation for this new experience. As the only fluent Spanish speaker I know that I will be an important asset to the team in helping to bridge the gap between cultures. It will be a challenge to be a public translator.
Thank you once again for your generous support and loving encouragement.
In Him,
Susana

P.S - We're flying out of Atlanta on Saturday evening, March 5 (6:45pm) and arriving into Spain Sunday morning (around 9:30am). It's a direct flight on Delta, which is great!
