News for Friends, Family, and Partners April 29, 2006 Dear praying friends, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!" Luke 24:5b-6a We want to give you an update on how you can pray for us over the next few weeks. We ask your prayers for our older two children as they finish up their school year. Pray that they would finish strong. Wendy will be going to Texas to live with Mike's sister for the summer and work as a lifeguard and swim instructor. We continue to make plans for William's wedding. Pray for William and Manda as they make preparations and work out all the details for the wedding. Praise the Lord for additional support. We are now up to 82% of our support. We are still looking towards a June 24 return date to Ecuador. Pray that the Lord will raise up the remainder of our support by the end of May. Pray that God will lead us to where the rest of the support will come from. In May we will be traveling to Florida to meet with some mission committees and churches. We have done two Ecuadorian dinners, one here in Carrollton and another in Galveston. These dinners have given those attending an opportunity to experience Ecudorian food and culture and for us to present our work. We praise the Lord for both monthly support and one-time support that has come from these dinners. We would like to ask you to consider hosting a similar dinner where we would be willing to come, cook and present our ministry to your friends. Just let us know if you would like to host a dinner. Whitney and Waverly have had a great sophomore year here in Carrollton. Waverly played on the soccer team and participated in the Optimist Clubs speech competition. Whitney has been involved in Drama and has one more performance this year. She also competed in the speech competition. They are both looking forward to returning to Ecuador. Robin and Mike hope to go to Kenya this summer to be trained as trainers with the Chalmer's Center for Economic Development. Pray that God will provide the one time gifts necessary to cover this trip. Pray also that God will provide opportunities when we return to Ecuador to train Nationals and Missionaries in these micro-economic concepts.
