"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable" Isaiah 40:28

Dear Praying Friends,

Isn't it great to know that God does not get tired? We are encouraged by this, even as we have been traveling for the last couple of months!

We have had a lot of great visits with churches and individuals in MO, KS, TX, GA, MS, TN, AL and AZ. We are thankful to the Lord for safety in travel, and for caring for Whitney and Waverly while we were away from them. We are also thankful for new friendships and the opportunity to renew old ones. In addition, we thank God for the provision of a family in the church here in Carrollton, who cares for our children as though they were their own when we are away.

We have received word of some new support, and are now at about 76% of what we need to return to the field. Pray with us that the Lord would allow us to return in January. There is much to do, and we are eager to get to work. Please pray that God would continue to move in the hearts of churches and individuals that He wants to support the work in Ecuador. We have been blessed recipients of "calls out of the blue" from people who want to know what we are doing. It is awesome to know that it is God who is moving!

We would ask you to pray for us (especially Mike) as we put together our team's schedule of short term teams for the coming year. A number of churches have indicated an interest in working in Ecuador next summer, and one of our responsibilities is putting that all together. Pray for us as we work on the schedule, and plan projects. Our hearts' desire is that visiting missionaries would grow in their understanding of the Kingdom, even as those in Ecuador do. We pray for hearts to be knit together, and for Ecuadorians and North Americans alike to be blessed by the experience.

Please pray for our spiritual growth as individuals, and as a family. Pray for us as parents, as we seek to disciple our children. It seemed so much easier when they were small! Pray that we would be reminded and convinced that it is God who does the work in hearts, and that we are to be faithful to Him. Each of our children is in a different phase in life (yes, even our twins!), and we need wisdom in how to best love and encourage each one. Pray for William and Wendy as they contemplate our being much farther away. Pray for Whitney and Waverly as they deal with having to leave their friends, again. It is so hard, and we are trying to help them begin to think about things to look forward to in Ecuador. Since so much of what we do is about relationships, we can really understand their reluctance to leave relationships again. Please do pray for their encouragement and for wisdom for us as parents.

Pray for our team as there have been some unexpected difficulties. Our team leader's family has been off the field for a month or so, and will remain in the US for a couple more months. Stacy (his wife) had to have surgery, and there is a significant recovery period. She is doing well, but it is a challenge for the team. Pray for Craig (the team leader) as he seeks to work with team members from afar.

Thank you so much for your continued prayers for us. It has been great to visit with many of you during the last few months. Let us know how we can pray for you.

Blessings in Jesus,

Mike and Robin McMahan
