Dear Praying Friends,

We are so thankful for your ministry to us through your prayers and financial gifts. It is a blessing to know that you are praying!

It has been a busy couple of months. Wendy graduated from high school at the end of May, and our parents joined us here in Carrollton for that happy occasion. We took Wendy on a graduation trip to the beach, Whitney and Waverly went to a Youth in Ministry conference in St. Louis, we took Wendy to orientation at Georgia College & State University, and we had a number of good church visits. In addition, we spent a week helping out at Chalmer's Center's annual Christian Economic Development Institute held at Covenant College.

What is next?
Next week we will be at Mission to the World's Summer Conference for missionaries. Please pray for us, especially on Friday, July 15th, when Robin will be doing a workshop at the conference, promoting the great training that Chalmer's Center offers. Pray that others would be encouraged, and that God would be honored. We will be traveling to Ridge Haven on Monday the 11th and home on Saturday the 16th.

Since we had decided not to return to Ecuador permanently until the end of the year, we have planned a short trip to Ecuador this month. The kids will all stay in the States - William at Covenant working, Wendy in Carrollton working, and Whitney and Waverly travel to Texas to visit family. We adults will travel to Guayaquil to visit our Ecuadorian friends and take care of some car-related business. We will encourage our savings groups, savings and loan groups, and visit the church. We have heard encouraging reports, and long to see our friends face to face. Then, we will attend a spiritual retreat with our teammates, and finally, we will travel to Quito for team meetings. While we are very excited, we would ask you to pray for many details.

- Whitney and Waverly's travels for safety, and for the beginning of school, which will happen while we are still away!
- William and Wendy as we are away
- Our travels for safety
- Renewed relationships with our friends, and encouragement in the Lord for them
- Team planning, that we would be directed by God's wisdom
- All of those "unknowns" that come up when you travel!
- Success in re-registering our car in Ecuador - this should be simple, but please pray anyway!

What else?
Please pray for our fall schedule. Please pray that God will direct us to those individuals and churches whom He would have to support us prayerfully and financially. If you know of someone (or church) who would be interested in participating with us in Ecuador, please let us know by phone or by email. Our support currently stands at about 70%! We are very thankful to God and to you! We are trusting God to raise up the last 30%. He is Lord over all things, including all the finances necessary for our return to Ecuador. We pray that it would be available by the end of the year, so that Whitney and Waverly can enter Alliance Academy in Quito at the beginning of the second school semester in January.

Praise the Lord with us!
In June we were also blessed with the opportunity to visit with Ron and Peg Smith, our teammates from Guayaquil. They were here for some meetings as soon as Ron was well enough to travel. You may remember that during a worship service on May 1st, Ron was shot while trying to interrupt a robbery of one of the churches in Guayaquil. While this event was very disturbing to the church, and the physical recovery has been difficult, all of us had been praying that God would use this event to glorify Himself. Although we will probably never know the full extent of how God has and is using this event, Ron recently shared that two women, respiratory therapists who treated Ron at his home for a period of time, heard and have responded to the gospel. Obviously, if Ron had not been shot, he would not have needed respiratory therapy! We are all rejoicing in the new life of these ladies- and also that the Lord has given Ron a complete recovery.

Thank you again for participating with us in Ecuador. We are longing to be there full time. We know that God has good purpose for keeping us here right now. Pray for us to continue to grow spiritually. We have been convicted about not living very intentionally. Pray that we would daily rejoice in the grace that is ours because of God's great love for us, and for His Son. We need to remind ourselves daily of the beautiful truths of the gospel, not taking for granted our salvation. We pray that today you would be blessed as you think on the One who has loved you with such a great love.

Blessings in the Savior,

Mike and Robin McMahan
