Michael and Tricia met in 1984 at the hospital where he worked and she was studying nursing. During this time God was working in Michael's heart, calling him to repentance. Tricia came to faith at age 12 while being discipled by a friend at the church behind her house. After dating for a year, Michael and Tricia were married.

After 15 years of marriage, and sensing the Lord's call to ministry, the Lees moved to Charlotte where Michael attended RTS and received his M. Div. While at RTS, the Lees were called to Bethel PCA in Clover, SC. Michael served as associate pastor and is a member of Fellowship Presbytery. Tricia led the Kid's Quest choir and actively participated in the WIC at Bethel.

While at Bethel they became involved in the mission to Northern Mexico. After participating in several short-term team trips to Monterrey, the Lees again sensed God's call on their lives and have joined the Northern Mexico team in Monterrey. Their goal is to see the reformation of Northern Mexico for Christ through theological training, church planting, and mentoring.

The Lees have three children: Hannah (12/16/88), Amber (12/9/91), Jacob (8/25/94)
