Dear friends and supporters of Sobre el Puente,

Maggie Gonzalez, who has directed our StreetChild ministry in Acapulco, Mexico, since its inception in 2002, has resigned her position effective at the end of the year.

Maggie wishes to return to full-time family counseling in Acapulco. Although we are saddened by her departure, we wish her many blessings in the next phase of her life.

Maggie has served the homeless children of Acapulco with great compassion and distinction. She began the ministry on the streets and, with the Lord’s provision, led it to include the Sobre el Puente drop-in center and the Llegando a Casa transitional home. The lives of literally hundreds of children have been impacted during her years as director, for which we are eternally grateful.

Please pray for the missionaries and national staff during the upcoming transition and that the Lord will provide compassionate and effective leadership for this important ministry. Pray also for Andrew Lamb, MTW Regional Director, and me as we seek the Lord’s provision for the next director of Sobre el Puente.
