Laura grew up in a strong Christian family and church, where God called her to Himself. Through the campus ministry, Campus Outreach, He taught her Bible study, prayer, discipleship and evangelism. During a 2-month mission trip working with university students in South Africa, God showed Laura that sharing Christ is not only her full-time job, but also a tremendous and joyous privilege.
She graduated with a Spanish degree and a heart for ministry wherever God would call her. Laura is ministering alongside Peruvian Pastor Robinson and his wife Elita in Amauta, an area of extreme poverty in the outskirts of Lima. She teaches English and children's Sunday School. She is also working with children in the Huaycan project.
"And on that day the deaf shall hear words of a book, and out of their gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind shall see. The afflicted also shall increase their gladness in the Lord, and the needy of mankind shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel." (Isaiah 29:18-19)
Pray that Laura would be a humble and whole-hearted servant to her team, the local churches, and the community and that she would grow in the grace of the Lord.
