April 18, 2006 Quick Prayerletter - Departure Time Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:6-7 The time has come - I am leaving for Peru on Wednesday 4/19/06. I am excited and at the same time sad with all of the good-byes. I'm tired from packing and making decisions, and at the same time energized by the thought of being able to return to the work in Peru that I have been longing to be a part of once again. There are so many praises as God has been giving me his peace and showing me again and again that he is Lord over the details.
My friends, Denise and Mary, are going with me and staying in Cusco for 4-5 days. They will help me with luggage and morale.
Please pray for us in these specific ways:
I know they leave behind family, work and schedules. Please pray that they would be free from worry and able to live in the day.
Thank you all so much for your prayers - I am at 86% at my last check and very excited that my full support may very well be in by July/August so that I can stay.
