August 28, 2002 Update - ACTION IN CHILE I just responded to someone who was praying for us and I thought that you may all want this update: Tomorrow I have to fly back down to Osorno with the presbytery commission. I have been nominated as moderator to establish a local steering committee and put a leadership training program in place to get an eldership established. We have a congregational meeting there tomorrow night where all the new developments will be explained. This is still a mission church and so they do not even know We are also starting with a new Bible study in Santiago that we trust will become another preaching point soon in a new church planting vision. Stephanie returns on Saturday from having settled Brendon at college. We will then be fully fledged empty nesters and working through a lot of adapting - particularly Stephanie is openly struggling with that, so your continued prayers will be appreciated. It is not easy to have all your children in a foreign country where there is no family.
