Jody Collinge, MD #011119
Jody accepted Christ as a teenager. Youth group trips to inner-city Detroit and Cleveland as well as to rural Appalachia sparked her interest in missions. The Lord used the experience of a benign brain tumor to guide her into medicine as a career and several short-term medical missions trips to lead Jody to serve Him full-time as a medical missionary.
Jody first worked with Mission to the World (in cooperation with Medical Ambassadors International) to establish a community health evangelism ministry in Reynosa, on the Texas-Mexico border. Through this ministry, community health evangelists learn to share both their faith as well as basic health skills with their neighbors so that individual lives, families, and even communities may be transformed by Christ.
She currently leads a community health evangelism ministry in Zihuatanejo, Mexico, north of Acapulco. Jody also serves as the area coordinator for
Mexico with LifeWind International (formerly named Medical Ambassadors),
in cooperation with Mission to the World. She trains and encourages community health ministries throughout Mexico.
