"Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.” - (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Thank God for:
- Thank God for all that he has done throughout this year—for his daily protection in all my journeys, and for his ample provision; for family and
- This has been a wild month of travels, and I am glad to be back to Zihuatanejo.
- I traveled with the Oaxaca team to Guatemala, where we visited the CHE ministries there (led by Hugo Gomez and his teams). Over more than 20 years, they have seen many families and many communities transformed by Christ.
- Back in Oaxaca, we visited one of the Mixteco mountain communities. The children and teens are working on several community projects, such as a large garden next to their school.
- I was glad for a few days to catch up in Zihuatanejo.
- In Reynosa, I stayed with Benjamín and Teresa Torres and talked with the Pastor’s Alliance about CHE. Pray for God’s leading for them, as they want to do more outreach in Reynosa. I also had a relaxing time visiting friends in McAllen.
- From there, I traveled to Monterrey, where Steve and Heather Wilson and Isabel Soto are working in the community of Nueva Almaguer. We went with people from that community to have a retreat, where we gave a short seminar on Children’s CHE. Thank God for their enthusiastic response. Pray for their team as they build up leadership in this community.
- Back in Zihuatanejo, the children were invited by the local government to put on a presentation (with songs and drama) about recycling and ecology.
- Thank God for the Bible studies and home visits in the communities, and that several families are now actively involved in the church.
Please be praying:
- We have been working to set up a refuge for elderly abandoned adults in

- Thank God for the committed group of teens and adults who are working as volunteers in our CHE ministries. We are also giving Vision Seminars to involve more people from the church. Pray also for the Training of Trainers seminar that we plan to give in January.
- I will be traveling with the team from Oaxaca to visit the CHE (community health evangelism) ministries in Guatemala with Hugo Gomez. Pray that this will
- During the month of December, I will make a quick trip to California to meet with Terry Dalrymple, who is the International Coordinator for LWI. We are working in several areas—Bible storying, new approaches to training committees and trainers, community-based evaluation, as well as new or updated lessons in many fields. Pray for God’s leading and direction as we develop new approaches and new teaching materials, and that this will serve the CHE
- Pray for the growth of strong Mexican leaders for the Mexico ministries.
- Pray for the leaders of LifeWind International as they work in challenging conditions around the world. Pray for wisdom and God’s provision in
their financial challenges
Happy Thanksgiving!
