The Waldecker Family Update
November 14, 1999

Dear friends,

We are very thankful that the Lord has provided someone to help us put together our website for connecting MTW's work in South America with our supporting churches. Quite a bit has been done, and I'll let you know when it's ready to be accessed. I think you'll find the information helpful.

This week has been quite busy because there were a lot of extra activities, including teaching a class on Christian education on Tuesday, an all day Chile field meeting in Viña on Thursday, and preaching today at Cristo Rey in Santiago.

Please pray for our church in Viña del Mar as it adjusts to a new stage in it's life after the departure of the Ramsays in July.

Pray especially for the safety of our missionaries in Bogota, where recent bombings in the city have come closer than usual.

Pray also for our relationship with the Quito Presbytery. We are seeking to develop a unified vision for Ecuador.

Thank you for praying about my paper on "a theology of movement." It is further along than when I last wrote, and I have distributed it to most of our missionaries in South America as well as a number of other people.

Presidential elections will be held December 12th here in Chile. Please pray about this. The outcome will certainly have an effect on our lives and ministry.

We have invited the missionaries in Chile to our house for a Thanksgiving Celebration. We always miss family on occassions like these.

The weather is getting hotter as we move closer to summer. For your information, we are now two hours later than Eastern Time.

Thanks for your prayers.

Gary and Phyllis Waldecker
