Date: July 6, 2005
Thank you for praying about my trip to Mexico at the beginning of
June. The purpose of this trip was to collect
information--observations, interviews, etc. related to my
dissertation. The trip went very well. I hope that eventually what I
learn will be helpful to Mission to the World as a whole. Now please
pray for my second trip, which begins tomorrow (July 7th). Pray for
wisdom to ask the right questions, to see what is important to see,
for safety, and that I will be a blessing to the people there.
Please pray also for the training of Jaime, who lives in Chile, and
is being trained for the pastorate in the context of the Cristo Rey
Church in Santiago. Jaime needs about 700 dollars to complete his
formal training. If you would like to help with this project you can
send a check to:
Willow Creek Church, PCA
4725 East Lake Dr.
Winter Springs, FL 32708
The checks should be made out to Willow Creek Church, PCA. This
training project is of concern to the Resource Team, but is being
funded through a PCA church, not through MTW. The Christ Rey church
was begun through MTW and we have had a part in helping train men for
the ministry in the context of this church. We look forward to seeing
Jaime ordained and helping with church planting in Santiago.
I've been looking for qualified people to join my Latin America
Resource Team. There are several people are are interested. I won't
mention them now, but please pray about this. The task of the
Resource Team is very large, and we need more help.
