Here are some prayer requests:
1. Francisco (Pancho) will be ordained on October 24th in Chile.
There are others who are also heading toward ordination. We're
thankful for this answer to prayer. Pray that these men will be used
of the Lord to further the work of the Kingdom in Chile.
2. Pray for the Cristo Rey church in Santiago, Chile, where Mark
Auffarth has been called to be the pastor. Mission to the World no
longer has a direct connection with this church, but we would love to
see it prosper after the many hardships it has experienced. There has
been growth, and this has occured in the midst of many dificult
challenges. Pray that increasingly more people will understand more
deeply the implications of the gospel for all of life. Pray for
strenth and encouragement for Mark and his family.
3. Pray for the work of the Lord in Columbia. Mission to the World
started a work there which has become a presbytery. One of the
Columbian pastors reports that there is a deep hunger for the Lord in
that country, that churches are growing, and that pastors of all
types of denominations are hungering for a deeper understanding of
the Word.
4. Pray for the MTW Global Mission Conference on November 5-7. I will
be conducting two seminars--one on Saturday and one on Sunday.
5. During the week after the Global Missions conference I will be
involved in a number of meetings, including a meeting of the Latin
America Leadership Team, and a meeting of the MTW University Resource
Team.
6. I still have not found the right place to conduct my dissertation
research. One of the places I thought I could do it looks like it
won't work out. Please pray about this.
7. Our support account has been low, and this has made things
difficult for us in a number of ways.
Thank you very much for your prayers.
