Atkisson Family - Picture Album from Brazil
Vacation Bible School - July 2005

Lynn was in charge of mobilizing workers and preparing much of the arts and crafts as well as the theater backdrops.

Two of the interns, Heather Ludlum and Nathan Ward, are helping here with another day's theater backdrop.

These are three of the younger children from projecto QueroQuero.

This young man was very proud of his art project.

Caê was one of the group leaders for some of the younger children. They loved him and were all over him all of the time! He really enjoyed working with these kids.

Gui loved working with these kids as well. He assisted me (David) with the sports activities and took several of the pictures I have displayed here.

This was a game of tag we played with the kids with a twist; they were on "all fours" but backwards, sort of like crabs...

Heather Cullen (better known as "Heather2") and Jessica High were our 2-week workers that came to help with the VBS and later the English camp. Even though they spoke no Portuguese, they were communicating the love of Christ to these kids as they worked with them.

Hilary is here sitting with kids waiting for the daily theater skit to begin.

Another shot of kids eagerly awaiting the skit to begin.

Hunter Turner was our 2 month MTW intern. He's pictured here at the end of the table working with some kids at the daily arts and crafts module along with some volunteers from our church.

Hunter is at the far right of the photo looking over the backdrop that was being hung at the outdoor area we used for the opening skit and closing ceremony each day. Hunter was a great help with his enthusiastic manner and creative flair.

Jacob is sitting with Guilherme, one of the younger kids who really looked up to him.

Jacob was helping here with the sports activities. The kids loved to "hang" all over him!

The kids loved to see themselves in the digital cameras. Jessica High is here having a good time doing just that.

Lenora is the assistant pastor's wife at Comunidade Presbiteriana Chácara Primavera. She was a wonderful "MC" for all of the ceremonies and for the theater skits and was the co-director of the VBS with Lynn.

These two girls, Luisa and Viviane, are two of the youth from the church and "PK's" (pastor's kids) as well for the two pastors of the church. They volunteered along with several other youth each day in various activities. Here they were acting in the skit that day.

Along with the skit was a time for learning new songs...this was a time enjoyed by all of the children.

Lynn did a great job in preparing for and executing the arts and crafts each day...and she loved doing it!

This was another "tag" game we played with the kids that they really enjoyed.
