Dave graduated from Oral Roberts University in 1980 and pursued a career in teaching math and science. Later, he continued his education and received his certification to practice medicine as a physician assistant. Throughout the past 20 years Dave has experienced a growing passion for missions and has taken advantage of several short-term mission experiences. He is now looking forward to medical missions and church planting in Belize.

Jane graduated from San Diego State University with a teaching credential in elementary education. She taught in primary schools for several years and is now home schooling her three children. Jane has always shared Dave’s passion for missions; in fact, Dave and Jane met and were engaged while serving on a short-term project in Taiwan. Jane is anticipating fruitful ministry in Belize caring for her family and teaching part time in the local Christian schools.

The Arends have three wonderful children. Dave and Jane look forward to seeing how God will continue to shape their family’s lives through the privilege of serving in Belize.
