Corry Moore #14797
Corry grew up in a Christian home in Laurens, SC. She first became interested in teaching the Deaf after interacting with two deaf children at her church. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Deaf Education from the University of Tennessee. After graduating, she taught at a Christian school for the Deaf in Rio Bravo, Mexico as a short-term missionary for almost three years.
Corry serves with Isaiah 55 Deaf Ministries and MTW to help reach the Deaf for Christ in Mexico. Unfortunately sign language is NOT universal, and typically each country has its own sign language. Once her training in Mexican Sign Language is completed, she will help start a new Christian school for the Deaf in Reynosa. Corry is eager to start teaching and sharing the gospel with the Deaf in a language they can understand so that they may have an opportunity to “hear” of the salvation that is offered through Christ.
If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:11b
