Charles grew up in a Christian home in Asheville, NC and came to a saving knowledge of Christ during his first year of college. While a student at Clemson University, the Lord used Campus Crusade for Christ to plant a desire in his heart for world evangelization. After graduating from Columbia Bible Seminary with an M.Div. in 1983, he served as assistant pastor in a PCA church in Bristol, TN before joining Mission to the World. Bonita grew up in a Christian home in LaGrange, GA. While attending the dental school at the Medical College of Georgia where she earned her DMD in 1983, the Lord used the ministry of First Presbyterian Church of Augusta, GA to challenge her with a burden for world missions.

Charles and Bonita are privileged to be part of a MTW middle class church-planting team in Lima, Peru. Starting in 1993 they helped to establish one church with their teammates and are now working with the team on a second church plant. Charles has had many varied responsibilities including evangelism and evangelistic training, discipleship, administration . Since 2005 he has begun to concentrate his energies on discipleship, specifically on leadership training and mentoring in order to see a sustainable church planting movement take place.

The Davidsons desire to serve Christ in Peru by advancing a church-planting movement among Peruvianas, evidenced by lives changed by the Savior, words of truth, powerful deeds of the kingdom and loving presence that touches the whole culture.
