National Associates in Haiti
Charles was born in St-Raphael, Haiti. He first learned about spiritual principles at the mission school he attended, and at 19 became a Christian. He graduated from high school when he was 27 years old in 1987, and he married Antonine, a member of his church, that same year.
After taking courses in education, computers, and leadership, Charles entered the Seminaire de Theologie Evangelique de Port-au-Prince in 1989. While in seminary he taught secondary school as well as preached and taught at three different churches and several youth conferences. In 1992, Charles became assistant pastor of Bethesda Baptist in Port-au-Prince. After his graduation from seminary in 1995, God opened the door for him to come to the United States to pursue theological studies at Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Greenville, SC, where he received his M.Div. in 1998.
In answer to God's calling to preach and teach the Reformed faith to the Haitian people, the Amicys live in Cabaret, Haiti, where Charles has planted five churches and begun four Christian schools with a total of 700 students.
Charles and Antonine have four children: Alexandra (12/10/88), Alexander (8/16/90), Alex (2/1/93), Allen (6/29/98)
