Betsy Christiansen #011214
Serving Second Career / Medical Missions
Betsy grew up in Pennsylvania and received her BS in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh. After moving to Atlanta in 1969, pediatric nursing, marriage, children and the saving grace of God in Christ filled her early-adult years.
Betsy now has a heart for combining her nursing skills with evangelism, and serves as fulltime Medical Missionary, primarily to Latin America. She recruits, builds and leads medical teams as ministries of both Word and deed. Betsy's mobile-clinics assist in church-planting by compassionately meeting felt needs of neighbors, and address eternal needs by sharing the gospel and praying with patients. Nationals and our missionaries nurture new relationships, continue evangelism and disciple new believers after her 1-2 week teams return home.
Betsy is a member of the MTW Disaster Response Team, an international ministry developed to address medical, emotional and spiritual needs of lives devastated by disaster. She also serves as faculty for Advanced Medical Leadership Training and on Student Outreach missions with, prayerfully, our next generation of medical missionaries.
Intercessory prayers are foundational and financial partners vital for her to respond faithfully to God's call. Betsy invites you to co-labor with her for the joy of the nations and the glory of His Name.
