Team MembersCareer MissionariesMark and Lori Berry (#10541)
Mark and Lori met at Christ Community Church PCA in Franklin, Tennessee, and began their ministries working with youth and college students. They were married in 1996. Lori's ministry is to her family and women. Mark was ordained in the PCA as a deacon at New City Fellowship in St. Louis. Upon graduation from Covenant Seminary, he was ordained as a teaching elder in the Nashville Presbytery and sent out under MTW to minister the gospel in Peru. As you pray for them, pray that they would grow strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus and be used of God to extend his gracious rule and reign in Peru. Mark and Lori have four children: Emmett (8/12/97), Anna (3/26/99), Taylor (10/12/00), and Abigail (6/27/02).
Jeremy and Amanda Ross (#016579)
Amanda was burdened for children at risk when she spent a summer in Mexico working with street children. As a result, she taught at an inner city school, lived in a Habitat for Humanity community in Miami, and wrote a master's thesis on the moral issues of street children. Jeremy recognized his love for kids through being a dorm parent at a deaf school in st. Louis. His love for misssion was confirmed when he spent a summer in Ukraine as an MTW intern. In the summer of 2003, they visited Peru and felt a distinct call to return. They arrived in Lima February 2007 and are beginning a street child ministry working alongside the church plants. Please pray for encouragement, strength and grace as they minister to street children and their families. Kayla (12/17/2003), Isabella (2/3/2006)
Jim and Sara Ward (#018237)
Jim from Pittsburgh and Sara from St. Louis met while attending New City Fellowship of St. Louis (NCF) and were married in 1995. May 1996 Jim finished his Masters of Divinity from Covenant Seminary. He came on staff full time at NCF as Director of Music. Sara came on staff at NCF to coordinate the Food Pantry and Free Store, which helped give basic needs to single mothers, refugees, and immigrants. November 2001, the Lord called the Ward's to Springton Lake PCA to have Jim become Assistant Pastor of Youth and Families and Minister of Worship. Jim and Sara believe the Lord has opened the door for them to minister in Peru. Jim longs to preach the gospel, while coming alongside Peruvian pastors and supporting them in their ministry. Sara's passion is to help those in great need; one way is by helping families to provide income for themselves, by developing skills and creating job opportunities. Both Jim and Sara desire to help develop true relationships between U.S. and Peruvian churches. Caroline 2/28/97, Chloe 5/5/99, Elijah 1/25/02 |
